About the Event
BigDataMine (development and application of key big data technologies for mineral processing) is a bilateral project between Norway and China on industry-oriented collaborative research on digitalisation, supported by the Research Council of Norway and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.
Production of ferroalloys (ferrosilicon and ferromanganese) through critical mineral processing processes is a significant land-based industry in Norway, while China is a leading producer in gold. However, digitalization is still at the early stage of development in both countries. Considerable financial and technical support are necessary, both nationally and internationally, due to the complexity of the processes and the harsh operational conditions of the environment. BigDataMinefocuses on high-precision data collection, artificial intelligence based data analysis and big data framework development. The current status of the project will be presented in this breakfast seminar organized by DigiPro.
