Sensor Technology and Real-Time Sensing

The DigiPro centre will prioritise the development and application of inline and at-line sensors that are suitable for industrial use. The research institutes and universities have expertise that cover a broad range of measurement methods and have a proven track record in developing sensors and prototypes that are suitable for the process industry. General areas of interest include real time data generation, a fundamental understanding of how to address the challenges sensors face in harsh process environments, and combining complementary sensing technology to gain better process insight. The goal is to develop projects that increase the robustness and reliability of data from the physical world, providing a more stable foundation for data-driven and hybrid models. We also aim to develop projects that grow the Norwegian sensor technology provider industry, increasing the future sustainability and scalability of industrial sensor installations.
