Communication Network Intelligence

The main goal of this area is the design of smart networks composed of sensors and intelligent units within process industries' environments, by accommodating novel information and communication technologies, where wireless communication is essential to support all the required automated intelligence. The research topics include algorithms for wireless communication and distributed signal processing in harsh industrial environments, AI-enabled resource allocation for reliable secure communications and life-long learning for continuous adaptation of the networks to changing environments.
