About the Event
This webinar will highlight the main achievements of the ReSoURCE project (Horizon Europe, Grant Agreement No. 101058310).
A key milestone in the project is the installation of an AI-supported multi-sensor sorting system. This system integrates a 3D camera, hyperspectral imaging (HSI), and a LIBS (Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) sensor to enable efficient recycling of spent refractory materials in the coarse fraction. Currently, a dedicated sorting system for fine fractions is being installed.
The project also introduces material passports for recycled refractory materials. These passports help track and document the properties of the recycled materials, making it easier to repurpose spent refractories for alternative applications.
SINTEF, a member of the ReSoURCE consortium, plays a key role in developing the fine fraction sorting equipment and actively contributes to the project’s dissemination and communication efforts.
Alongside a full overview of the project, we will highlight SINTEF’s contribution to developing the fine fraction separation process, an essential step toward improving recycling across multiple industries.
Presented by Akhilesh Kumar Srivastava, Senior Research Scientist, and Kristin Søiland, Research Scientist, Industrial Prosess Design, SINTEF Industry.
